Unexpected Maker Web Store Currency
Why do you sell in USD in Australia
All of my products listed on my Unexpected Maker store are in USD - even for Australian customers.
I sell all my products in USD, even here in Australia, because all my components, PCBs, stencils, and most consumables are purchased in USD, so keeping my selling price also in USD means I have a stable wholesale and retail price as I don’t have to constantly tweak prices due to the ever-changing USD->AUD exchange rates.
So, whatever price you pay on the day after bank conversion would likely be better than any listed AUD price as I’d have to account for forex fluctuations, conversion costs, and other expenses to cover any unexpected drops, anyway.
Are there any Australian resellers that sell your products in AUD?
Core-Electronics stock a range of my products - They are in NSW, and sell in AUD.
But there are some products I sell that are not available via resellers, like Reflow Master Pro, SQUiXL, and others.
They can only be purchased directly from me.
